Project: Logo Design

The process of arriving at a new logo for Lighted Garden was unique. The client needed a logo for their innovative, newly-patented product which adds low-voltage lighting and drip-irrigation to hanging baskets and gardening products. The client was having a hard time marketing the product, so we began by recommending a new name and "friendlier" identity campaign to create more emotional responses & memory triggers from the buyer. The client felt the lighting part of the product was its most dominant feature and what his products had most in common, so he chose "Lighted Garden" as the new parent company. This solved two problems – it created a hierarchal strategy for branding purposes, and ‘said’ what the company does in a pleasant way. We kept the "i3 planters" part of the logo with "Lighted Garden" as the parent brand. This immediately allowed new products of all sorts to be marketed under a simpler umbrella and made their product easier to identify. The finished logo is vibrant, full of energy and geared for the female decision-maker and gardener. The colors are passionate and energetic while the design adds a professional and distinctive mark for the growing brand. The client raves "This is truly inspirational work! You REALLY GET IT. I am so proud of your concept, it far exceeds my expectations!"
